The Grow Deck Is An Excellent Cold Frame

The Grow Deck from Poly-Tex is an excellent cold frame for those that have back or joint problems. This is because of its elevated stature. This handy cold frame also utilizes its extra space underneath the body of the frame for extra storage shelf space. This is great for storing extra soil, seeds and planting tools. In reality, this is probably the ideal cold frame for first time greenhouse gardeners. They can use this structure as a step up into more advanced gardening.

Cold frames were originally created to aid in the transfer of greenhouse plants to the soil. The greenhouse would help the plant get started, and then the cold frame would help the plant get used to harsher outdoor conditions. It acted as a sort of halfway house. Now, you can find people using them as a mini greenhouse. With apartment and condo dwellers having little space for a greenhouse, these cold frames allow for them to get involved in greenhouse gardening.

You will want to be careful with the Grow Deck if you live in a high wind area. It may not have enough heft to stand up to the high winds. If you do live in such an area, you may want to think about getting a different product. Other than that, however, I would have a hard time not recommending this product. Its ease of use and terrific price point make it very easy to recommend this product fully to everyone I meet.

If you are looking for a cold frame that can serve a multitude of needs, including providing extra storage, you would have a lot of difficulty choosing a different product than the Grow Deck. Think about getting this excellent raised garden structure, and watch your garden become the envy of your own neighborhood.
