When it’s cold outside, the first thing the kids do when they get off the school bus is run into the kitchen looking for something “yummy for their tummies”. I typically like to make my own hot cocoa, but most days when the kids come slamming into the kitchen after school, I’m in the middle of fixing dinner. Rather than preparing pre-packaged hot chocolate mixes, which can taste watery and bland, I have my own Creamy Hot Cocoa Mix ready to go. The kids can dig in and scoop the mix into their favorite mug while I turn on the water to heat. It just takes a minute to stir it up, add some marshmallows, and they are settled in for the night.
